Jang Yubin, the youngest member of the men's golf team competing at the Hangzhou Asian Games, grabs a 2-iron at Club 72 in Incheon. Confident in his long game, 한국야동 Jang often reaches for a 2-iron, a club not often used by other players.

"I think the most important thing right now is to believe in myself and play well."

Men's golf national team member Jang Yoo-bin (21-Korea Gymnastics University), who appeared wearing a hat emblazoned with the word "KOREA," said when asked if there was a "one-point lesson" he would like to receive from team seniors Kim Si-woo (28) and Lim Sung-jae (25), who are competing together at the Hangzhou Asian Games. "I think just practicing and playing with them would be a great learning experience. My goal is to get to know my brothers and follow them on Instagram," he laughed. Jang Yubin is an amateur, while Kim Siu and Lim Sung-jae play on the U.S. Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour. Korea's men's golf team is comprised of four players, including Cho Woo-young, 22, an amateur. Professionals are allowed to compete in golf at the Hangzhou Games.

During a recent meeting at the Club 72 golf course in Incheon, Jang Yubin brought up the subject of his dinner with Lim Sung-jae four months ago. "When Sung-jae came to Korea in May (to compete in the domestic tournament), we ate together, and he said, 'Don't work too hard, but do well,'" Jang said. "He said it as a joke, but it sounded like he meant it."

The men's golf team heading into the Hangzhou Asian Games is considered to be the strongest ever. Kim Si-woo and Lim Sung-jae qualified for the Tour Championship last season, which is open to the top 30 players on the PGA Tour's FedExCup standings. Narrowing the field down to the Asian Games participants, there are only three South Koreans in the top 30 of the FedExCup standings - Kim, Lim and Kim Joo-hyung. Their amateur siblings are no slouches either. Cho Woo-young (Golf Zone Open in April) and Jang Yubin (Gunsan CC Open in August) have made a name for themselves as the "pro-catching amateurs" by winning trophies in their respective Korean Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Korean Tour events this year. 성인웹툰

After going 'no gold' for both the men's and women's teams at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Korean golf will be looking to redeem itself in Hangzhou. The men's team, in particular, will be looking to win their first gold medal in 13 years, since Guangzhou in 2010. In Guangzhou, South Korea swept the golf medal table with four gold medals (men's and women's individual and team events). Jang Yubin, the youngest member of the men's team, said, "It's simple, but I think it's the most important thing. I will do my best to reduce my score by one stroke no matter what."

For the past two months, Zhang Yubin has been practicing on a screened driving range that mimics the course at the Asian Games venue, Westlake International Golf Course. "I'll have to go to the stadium and see for myself the condition of the grass, but the fairways aren't too narrow. I think I'll be able to play well," he said. Jang is averaging 300.42 yards (about 275 meters) with her driver on the Korean Tour this season. That's in the upper middle of the tour. Because of her confidence in her long game, she often uses a 2-iron, a club that many players don't use.

Zhang Yubin punched her ticket to the Hangzhou Asian Games after winning the Korea Golf Association Senior Amateur Championship last April. However, the Asian Games were postponed for a year due to the spread of the novel coronavirus in China, and Jang has been preparing for the tournament without turning pro. Zhang hopes to one day join the PGA Tour and reach the top of the Masters like her "role model" Tiger Woods. "I'm not thinking about anything but gold at the Asian Games. I will play with no regrets and come back with a gold medal." The team will fly to Hangzhou on Sept. 25, three days before the golf competition begins. 19가이드03
